Research on Dielectric Resonator Antenna and its Feed in WLAN Applications
内容简介：Dielectric resonator antennas (3D antennas) are free from metallic losses, have a lot of applications in millimeter band where the conductor loss of a metallic antenna becomes severe. DR (ceramics materials) can tolerate more temperature; I think they can perform well in very hot environment (Fire, war, space) where metallic antenna fails to work. Today internet had become an essential part of our daily life. WLANs provide users an easy and potential access to users. So today we need a reliable WLANs system, which has higher data rates with high gain and better antenna efficiency. I think using DRAs in WLAN systems can enhance its efficiency, reliability, data rates and gain. In this research different techniques have been used to enhance the gain of DRAs and a MIMO DRA has also been designed for WLAN applications. First, we have designed different DRAs using CST and HFSS then have fabricated and tested them. Based on good results and innovation in our research, we have published our papers. The brief explanation of my published papers will be presented in my talk. I shall describe how my interest develops in DRAs, its importance, innovations, and objectives for our research work, the research background and significance of DRAs in various communication systems.
